Healthy Eats: Use Your Magic Bullet to Make Homemade Guacamole!

My first year with my Magic Bullet was quite basic. I was stuck on smoothies and shakes. I threw everything from oats to dates into my little concoctions but I never tried making any of the other recipes in the book that accompanied my bullet until now. I tried out the guacamole recipe and it was good. I thought the nutritional benefits should be added to this one. I eat avocados because of the high fat content. Fat is a macronutrient so we NEED it however there are good fats and bad fats. This fruit (yes, its a fruit) is packed with monounsaturated fat, which is good for you. Here’s the breakdown, courtesy of wiki:

You will need:

1 avocado

1/2 medium tomato or 4-6 cherry tomatoes

1/4 cup red onion

1 clove of garlic

1/2 lemon

*1/2 cup cilantro (not pictured because I didn’t have it…blah :-/

1. Add all ingredients to the blender cup and squeeze the lemon juice in as well. Swivel on the lid with the raised blades.

2. Pulse about 5 times. You may have to shake contents to make sure that all parts are being blended.

3. Chill for 10 minutes and enjoy!
